In this program players will get the best coaching, training, facilities, and opportunities to make take your game to the next level.
Waterford Transition Year Full Time Football Academy Runs September to May 2024 – 2025
Our Transition Year students participating in the program will experience professional football training and mix classroom education classes like sports nutrition, psychology, along with a range of football coaching courses through the FAI and modules in strength & conditioning, video analysis, media / interviews and personal development.
Program Dates:
- Phase 1 – 16th Sept to 25th Oct 2024
- Phase 2 – 4th Nov to 6th Dec 2024
- Phase 3 – 6th Jan 2025 to 14th Feb 2025
- Phase 4 – 24th Feb 2025 to 11th April 2025
- Phase 5 – 28th April 2025 to 16th May 2025

Our academy provides up to 20 hours over a 4 day week of soccer coaching, structured match play training sessions, workshops, and soccer education with DBSISA coaches. All our coaches work with players to improve all aspects of their game both on and off the field.
Elevate your soccer training experience at the SETU Arena Sports Hub, renowned for its world-class facilities. Our soccer academy features two top-tier outdoor 3G artificial soccer pitches, six expertly tended outdoor grass pitches, a 2.5k running track, indoor Futsal courts, a high-performance strength and conditioning gym, and specialized video analysis rooms.
TRANSITION YEAR FOOTBALL COURSE 2024-2025
The DBS International Football Academy Transition Year football program, attracts participants from across Ireland and gives TY students an opportunity to experience full-time professional football training at SETU Arena Sports Hub.
