Technical Development Programme

We’re excited to invite soccer enthusiasts aged 8 to 15 to our Technical Development Programme based in Abbotstown, Dublin. Here, players will receive regular supplemental technical football training led by UEFA Licensed Coaches. This programme is designed to enhance every aspect of a player’s game, including tactical, physical, and mental skills.

We are back!

Our Technical Development Programme is back from 4th September 2024 and we have added many new elements, such as DBS branded clothing for all players, sibling discounts, camp discounts, no more hassle signing up for block after block we will now have 1 form to complete and recurring monthly payments (minimum 2 months) with the options to amend, pause and cancel when required.

Our Academy is dedicated to helping young individuals grow through soccer. We provide a safe and supportive environment where players can learn, develop, and have fun. From understanding game strategies to gaining real hands-on experience, we empower players to take control of their soccer journey and enjoy every step of the way.

Our lively DBSISA Football Academy offers players a hands-on tactical experience. Our coaches work closely with students to develop and execute strategic game plans, adjust plays during matches, and react to opponents’ actions.

We’re also proud to have UEFA-qualified coaches in our programmes who provide expert training and mentorship. Our coaches are some of Dublin, Ireland’s top football professionals who are passionate about helping young athletes reach their full potential.

Paul O'Brien

Academy Director

Paul, our Academy Director, is a highly experienced coach with a broad background across various levels and age groups in Ireland. He has coached at the League of Ireland level with Shamrock Rovers, Bray Wanderers, and Klub Kildare. Additionally, Paul is a former FAI employee, where he worked with age groups ranging from U15 to U21, including the Women's National Team. He holds a UEFA A & Elite Youth A licenses, a Coach Developer Diploma from FAI/Sport Ireland, and a certificate in football business studies from the Open University.

KEVIN BEGGY

HEAD COACH

With several years of experience coaching at grassroots clubs and a master's in high performance from the MBP School of coaches in Barcelona, Kevin is a UEFA B license holder and a UEFA A license candidate.

FREDERICO COSTA

HEAD COACH

Frederico is an accomplished academy coach who has a Master's degree in Football delivered by Sporting Lisbon and worked his way up to become the head coach at Benfica Soccer Schools. He recently completed his UEFA B license and is currently studying to complete his UEFA A license.

EOIN WEAREN

HEAD COACH

Eoin is a UEFA A license holder and an experienced coach who has played for Ireland and several clubs, including West Ham United and Limerick FC. He's also been announced as the Shelbourne Senior Women's First Team Head Manager for the 2024/25 season.
