ACADEMY TERMS & CONDITIONS:

Eligibility:
DBS International Academy is open to boys and girls between the ages of 8-21. The participant must be at least 8 years of age or no older than 21 years of age on the first day of the DBS International Academy season.

Insurance:
All DBS International Academy venues will be covered by Public Liability Insurance but not for Personal Accidents.

Fees:
Once the fees have been received, a receipt will be issued by email. The receipt is confirmation of your place on the DBS International Academy. For bookings made directly to DBS International Academy, cheques and postal orders should be made payable to DBS International Academy.

Credit card payments to DBS International Academy will carry a 3% processing surcharge. AMEX may be higher

Medical Consent:
DBS International Academy will not permit any child to participate in the DBS International Academy Programme without a registration being form completed. By signing up to the programme you give your permission to allow your child to be given medical treatment either by way of first aid by a suitably qualified person or by a doctor. You also consent to your child being taken to a doctor or hospital in case of emergency. DBS International Academy reserve the right to refuse an applicant based on
the information provided in the medical consent form. If there is any change to the medical information you provided on your application form, it is the parents
responsibility to inform the DBS International Academy coaching staff through email.

Damages/Injuries/Loss of Possessions:
The DBS International Academy is staffed by accredited UEFA Coaches appointed by DBS International Academy who will implement the highest safety measures. DBS International Academy will not be held responsible for damages, injuries or loss of possessions. We strongly recommend that all valuables be left at home. In DBS International Academy participants may be asked to assume the position of goalkeeper or play with participants of a different age. The parent / guardian of any child who does not wish their child to assume this position or play with children of a different age must make it known to DBS International Academy before payment is made for the Academy. In the absence of such notification it shall be deemed that the parent / guardian has consented to their child assuming a goalkeeping position or to playing with children of a different age if requested to do so by a coach.

Conduct:
Participants must follow the instructions of the coaching staff in charge. Misbehaviour or bullying may result in the participant being expelled from the DBS International Academy and any fees paid will not be refunded. In the interest of safety, participants are not permitted to leave the DBS International Academy during the coaching session times without the written consent of a parent/guardian. If a child is expelled from their DBS International Academy their parent/guardian will be contacted
immediately and appropriate arrangements for the collection of the child will be made should the participant not have parental consent to travel to and from the venue.

Photographic or Video Permission:
All participants in DBS International Academy programs may be used in photographic or video material for promotional purposes by DBS International Academy. If the participating child is under a court order or is in care of the HSE the parent/guardian must advise DBS International Academy of this in writing before the commencement of DBS International Academy. If any parent/guardian does not want their child to be photographed or videoed by DBS International Academy for promotional purposes, the parent/guardian must advise this in writing to the DBS International Academy, 110 Sundrive Road, Kimmage, Dublin 12 at least 5 days prior to the commencement of DBS International Academy program.

Weather:
DBS International Academy cannot be held accountable for weather conditions. We ask that all participants come prepared. In cases where the weather has affected the condition of the playing surface or is deemed so bad that coaching activities have to be suspended, the coaching staff will be available to supervise the players until such a time it is deemed safe to resume. Should the conditions show no signs of improving, DBS International Academy will contact the parent or guardian to advise them of the suspension of coaching activities if necessary. It will then be of the parent/guardian to make arrangements to collect their child immediately. The coaching staff will supervise all children until they have been collected. This will be a last resort.

Payments:
We ask that payments are made through the methods advised on the DBS International Academy website. All payments made are non refundable. (unless agreed before purchase) Payments for each program (Camps, Full Time, TDP or any other service offered) should be paid in full or in agreed instalment amount and in advance to DBS International Academy through one of the payment options provided. These are via WeTravel, Splink, the website, Stripe or other if agreed 
Fees are non-refundable under any circumstances except with the prior agreement of DBS International Academy. Players missing sessions without giving a minimum of 24 hours’ notice will not be carried over into the next block and are non-refundable.

Agreements can be made to carry over sessions into a new block. Agreements are limited to:
1. If a player is unable to participate due to serious injury or illness. A medical certificate may be requested by DBS International Academy. These sessions missed,
once deemed valid by DBS International Academy staff will be reduced from the amount owed for the next block.

2. If I player is on holidays then once notice has been provided 14 days in advance.
*Maximum of 2 sessions per block. (sessions carried over into the next block, will be discounted off the full amount due.

Where any special offer rates are advertised for a camp, TDP or other DBS program, these special offer rates cannot be availed of and used in conjunction with any agreement for carrying over sessions.

A special offer rate is only available when the full amount is paid in full before the commencement of the block.
Where a player decides not to continue onto additional blocks, no money will be refunded. 

Training Kit:

All players must be in the appropriate training kit in the section they are training. The training kit must be purchased online through the shop on our website. Players have 6 weeks from their first session start date to purchase the kit. After this time the player may be refused entry into the academy until kit is purchased. Any of the sessions missed will not be refunded, nor will the individual be allowed carry these sessions over into the next block.

Management reserve the right to change the terms and conditions from time to time. The version on our website being the most up to date version.

 

Camp specific terms and conditions

Weather:
DBS International Academy shall not be accountable should our camp activities be suspended or cancelled due to adverse weather. In cases where the weather has affected the condition of the playing surface or is deemed so bad that coaching activities have to be suspended, the coaching staff will be available to supervise alternative indoor activities, only if the host club or venue can provide such an indoor facility. Please note the vast majority venues cannot provide indoor playing
facilities. Should such a facility not be available and the conditions show no signs of improving, DBS International Academy will contact the parent or guardian to advise them of the suspension of coaching activities if necessary. It will then be the responsibility of the parent/guardian to make arrangements to collect their child immediately. The coaching staff will supervise all children until they have been collected.

Cancellations & Camp Transfers:
In exceptional circumstances, it may be possible to facilitate transfer of bookings to alternative dates/venues. If you wish to transfer a booking you must contact a member of the DBSports Team 48 hours before the commencement of the camp on 00353 86 200 7074 or email academy@dbsisa.com

Refunds
No refunds are available for any DBS program once a purchase is made, we are happy to offer a transfer to another camp, or credit to an alternative program. If purchasing a DBS playing kit please check sizing before purchasing as the playing kit will be non refundable or transferable. In the unlikely event that inclement weather forces the cancellation of the full week’s activities a full refund will be issued. If inclement weather causes only partial cancellation of the week, no refund will be issued. Small group session terms & conditions

Payments:
Sessions will be paid for on a monthly basis, with sessions taking place on a Wednesday or Friday.
Please note some months may have 4 days in the month (ie. 4 Mondays in a month) and some may have 5, this will result in an adjustment to the monthly price.
If you want to book a single session, you can do so at a cost of €50 for a 2 hour session (please be aware that we may not be able to guarantee the time requested in one off sessions).
An invoice will be sent out at the beginning of each month for payment via wetravel, stripe, splink or through the website. Cash payments are accepted. If you wish to do so we would ask that you place the money in an envelope with your son/daughter’s name on it, and give it to the coach before the commencement of the session.

Cancellation:
A time and day will be allocated for all DBS sessions, if you commit to a month of sessions, your allocated time will stay the same on a weekly basis, unless requested by DBS International Academy and agreed upon by both parties.
If we have not received notice of non-attendance 24 hours prior to the start of the session, then payment will be taken for that session and won’t be carried over to the following month’s block. There may be certain circumstances to which the cancellation terms can be adjusted at the discretion of the DBS Directors.

If players cannot attend a session(s) within the month and appropriate notice is given, the sessions(s) will be carried over into the next month and deducted from next month’s payment.
If a player decides not to continue with the small group sessions, mid-block, the remaining sessions will not be refunded.
